Q. What is a Swimming
Pool Heat Pump?
Swimming Pool Heat Pumps are a super efficient way of
heating a swimming pool. Heat pumps make full use of the
advanced refrigeration technology to capture the heat
present in the outside air and transfer it to the swimming
pool water.
An environmental refrigerant gas absorbs and transfers
the heat energy through a refrigerant circulation system.
The refrigerant in the Swimming Pool Heat Pump circulation
system consists of a coil filled with a refrigerant liquid
that absorbs heat and transforms it into a gas, the excess
is discharged off as cool air. This refrigerant gas is
then forced through a compressor in the Heat Pumpwhich,
when condensed, intensifies the heat. This heated gas
then passes through a heat exchanger where the heat from
the gas is transferred to the pool water. The refrigerant
in the Swimming Pool Heat Pump then turns back to a liquid
state and passes back through the system.
