Fully automatic cleaning Salt Water Chlorinator for swimming pools up to 50m3

Some years ago I decided to bite the bullet and invest in a salt water system and pH regulator for my pool on the Costa Brava in Spain. I would now say that after a couple of years of use this equals the installation of pool heating as a truly great idea. The installation was quick and easy, simply install the electrode container in the return pipe after the pool heater and connect the controller to the power supply.
Next I poured about twelve 25kg sacks of salt directly into the pool water and switched it on, simple.

I can honestly say that the swimming experience is 100% better than bathing in all those synthetic chemicals, the salt content of the pool is less than that of a teardrop, about 1/10 of that of sea water. Everybody who baths in our pool completely agrees. You don’t get stingy eyes, you do not have the urge to immediately shower the moment you get out of the swimming pool, and cousin Charlottes peroxide hair no longer turns green when she goes for a dip.

The other great benefit for me is that I don’t ruin all my clothes with little white blotches from where a little bit of chlorine has spilt each time you have to add some to the pool and you think you will be careful to save changing into old clothes. I used to hate breathing in that sharp caustic gas each to you remove the lid of this tub of chlorine or that tub of pH regulator and so on.

The pool also takes for less time to maintain than before I probably spend less than half the time cleaning the pool than before I had the salt water system installed.

When you add up all the benefits that I now have from the small investment of the Salt water chlorinator and the pH regulator I cant understand why I didn’t do it before.
